Do you like to run? Join Team CJ!

We had a large team participate in the Monument Ave 10K in 2010 but if you don’t live in the Richmond, VA area OR you would like to participate via your own races, it’s easy to support CJSTUF.


• Register for any race and download a CJSTUF pledge form
Any individual raising funds for CJ’s Thumbs Up Foundation (CJSTUF) via an organized race or walk can be a part of TEAM CJ. As a thank you to our fundraisers, the following incentives will be provided to qualified members of TEAM CJ:

Raise at least $200 (any race/walk): Team CJ t-shirt

Raise at least $500 (for any race smaller than a marathon):
Team CJ t-shirt
CJSTUF will reimburse race fees with a receipt.

Raise at least $1000 (for marathons and other races where race fees are $75+):
Team CJ t-shirt
CJSTUF will reimburse race fees with a receipt.

Raise at least $5000 (any race):
Team CJ t-shirt
CJSTUF will reimburse race fees with a receipt
CJSTUF will buy one round trip coach airline ticket for the runner/walker

Notice for airline tickets will need to be given at least 30 days in advance of the race. Wherever possible, CJSTUF will use donated airline miles to purchase airline tickets. Airline tickets will be set from the airport closest/most feasible to the runner’s home to the airport closest/most feasible to the race. Runner will give their preferred dates of travel and CJSTUF will do everything possible to accommodate these requests. Runner is responsible for arranging any additional travel accommodations including lodging, rental car, and airline tickets for additional companions.

At least 50% of the funds for a particular level must be submitted within 30 days of the date of the race in order to qualify for these fundraising incentives. All remaining pledged funds are due within 30 days of the completion of the race. If the runner does not raise the anticipated pledged amount, s/he may be responsible for reimbursing CJSTUF for paid race fees and/or airline tickets.

Required forms: Participating athletes are required to submit the following documents when participating in a TEAM CJ event.
1. Intent form (to be submitted before raising funds)
2. CJSTUF pledge form (may be submitted at any time up until the date of the race)
